Looking for jobs in all the right places

⚠️ This post is more than five years old. Links may rot, opinions may change, and context might be missing. Proceed with cautious optimism.

Every j-school student knows about sites like Journalism Jobs and Craig’s List, but have you ever searched for gigs on Simply Hired, Beyond, or PageBites?

Luckily, you don’t have to.

Instead, try using the gada.be search engine.

Go to gada.be, enter what you’re looking for in the search box, and click on “Jobs.”

Here’s a results page for a search on “online journalism.”

Actually, there are some decent gigs in this search.

Wanna be the Online Editor at a daily in Ft. Myers, Florida?

How about a job at the University of South Florida in St. Petersburg, running a “community journalism” project? (HINT: these places are warm, year-round.)

Or maybe you’d like to be an online producer for Knight Ridder Digital at the St. Paul Pioneer Press?

On second thought, better hold off on applying to that last one…

  1. Thanks for the link to the News Jobs Cafe! You’re doing a good job with your own blog.
