Colorado college newspaper invites campus bloggers into the fold

The University of Colorado’s student newspaper is about to launch student, faculty, and staff blogs hosted by the paper’s Web site.

We talked about doing this here at the Daily, but we have a hard time convincing each other that anyone would use a blog here, as opposed to, say, MySpace. There’s a point where the difference between a big land-grant style school with 50,000 students in the neighborhood and our 30,000 student commuter campus becomes quite clear.

If we build it, will they blog?

Okay, what if we put up forums for campus discussion about issues addressed (or not addressed) in the paper? If we build it, will they post?
