The New York Times is Blogging

⚠️ This post is more than five years old. Links may rot, opinions may change, and context might be missing. Proceed with cautious optimism.

It’s an Arts & Entertainment award season blog called Carpetbagger. Check out how the Times keeps the look and feel of its Web pages constant. The NYT brand, online and off, is all over everything it does. But hey, it’s the New York Times linking to other sites and other blogs, which is always nice to see.

In relatively related news, PaidContent reports the NYT is going to be doing the inevitable Research & Development in new media, including “mobile technology, search and video.”

Sounds great. I really believe that the only way newspapers are going to stay in the game online is by innovating. Don’t wait for Google or someone else to put out something ahead of the curve; lead the way.
