I like Textpattern. I’ve used WordPress, and it’s good too. But Textpattern uses the “lingo” of the old press, which I like. I don’t know that it’s enough to port a whole WP blog with extensive archives, but for someone starting out and looking for open source alternatives, I’d say it gives WP a run for its money.
