I have no problem with graffiti artists making money while staying anonymous — after all, I do own a copy of Banksy’s book — but I do have a problem with BNE getting fame just for getting up. Ubiquity is easy. Telling a story is much more difficult.
What better way to celebrate the opening of some sort of expensive, exclusive photography exhibition at the Louvre than by showing up with garbage bags full of old photographs and dumping them on the floor of the entrance.
Banksy makes me want to be a better subversive.
